Juan in a Million

Don’t be fooled by the cheesy name, this East Side spot has been around since 1980, and there’s a reason it’s still standing.

I’ve been going here since I moved to Austin over two decades ago, and was my saving grace after a night out in college. And honestly? Not much has changed.

It’s still my go to spot, and I still order the same thing every time.

I don’t think I’ve ever ordered anything else other than a Don Juan with three extra tortillas.

It consists of a mountain of potatoes, egg and bacon topped with cheese on a tortilla and a recipe to knock you out for the rest of the day.

Whether you show up on a Saturday or a Sunday, expect a line.

There’s always a wait, but it’s worth it.

While everything on the menu is probably a hit, the Don Juan is a local favorite for a reason.

If you haven’t been yet, this is a must visit breakfast taco spot on the East Side. Classic, comforting, and one of those places that makes Austin feel like home.
