Taqueria De Diez

It’s no secret that Austin could be considered the taco mecca of Texas, but if you’re looking for authentic Mexican style tacos, look no further.

If you haven’t heard, Taqueria 10/10 was voted Best New Restaurant of 2024, so you know I had to check it out and report how it was.

📍 206 Trinity St, Suite #110

The entrance to the taco shop is actually inside Rey Rey, so don’t be surprised if you walk right past it.

The entrance is located in the alley

A Heads Up Before You Go

  • Finding the entrance can be tricky since it’s tucked away in an alley

  • Parking is a pain because, well, it’s downtown

The Best Part

This spot serves Tijuana style tacos and stays open until 1 AM Thursday - Saturday 🤯

So not only is the food legit, but it’s also one of the few good late night food options in Austin.

The Menu

Taqueria De Diez Menu

It’s simple and straightforward. While not as cheap as something you’d find in Tijuana, it’s probably just as good.

Walking in, you know it’s gonna be solid when you see fresh tortillas being made and a massive trompo of rotating meat.

What I Ordered

I went with a pastor taco, carne asada quesadilla, and pollo asado volcano, and while everything was good, next time I’d just stick with tacos. I’m a simple man.

When you order they give you a ticket, you then go into another line, hand them your ticket and they’ll make your tacos. No ticket, no tacos.

Hot sauces and limes are right by the entrance.

I also saw a few people getting burritos, and they looked decent, but for me, four tacos would be the perfect amount which, fair warning, does add up price wise. ~$20

Overall, not the cheapest tacos in town, but definitely a unique experience worth checking out if you’re craving legit Tijuana style tacos in Austin.
